Food Ministry – Soup Kitchen

Collect, Sort, Pack and Distribute- Food Ministry

Every week the church undertakes collection of food donations through the auspices of the good folks down at Churchlands Christian Fellowship in Balcatta and the Margaret Community Outreach Organisation in Osborne Park.

Donated perishable food is then sorted and packed ready for collection and pick up from our volunteers at the Hainsworth Centre in Girrrawheen (On Thursday’s Only)   These food parcels are for  individuals and families who are in need or going through exceptional financial difficulty,  who live in  and around the surrounding suburbs.

Food pick up and collection times are presently from Girrawheen on Thursdays from 12 pm to 1 pm. Please note that this service to the community is currently not available on Public Holidays

  • Hi: 10/06/2013 I was in Hainsworth centre.
I just want to say thank you very much for the box of veggies and bread. We share the box with a few international student who are here with just a few dollars.
We made a vegetable soup for everybody with bread, we made lentils with carrot and sandwich for breakfast, all of them have a decent lunch for this week.
At the end, the food reached a hungry person.

  • Thank you Judy and all your team in Landsdale with a most welcomed box of vegetables for me and my young daughter. This act of giving has helped us so much and I bless you all for your kindness and the work you are doing for out Lord. With the power of prayer our God will provide for us as he always promised. God bless everyone.
